Pushing Excitations
Push Excitations combines Circuit and HFSS 3D Layout features to extract excitations from a Circuit simulation to use in the post-processing of an HFSS 3D Layout design (e.g., if you have a model that you extracted with a field solver, you can import that model as a “black box” into Circuit, solve its circuit, then use the solution to calculate the model’s excitation vector. The vector is pushed back to HFSS 3D Layout to solve for the model’s field distributions.). Excitations can be pushed to HFSS 3D Layout ports, to dynamic links, and to subdesigns. Excitations can also be pushed if they have a Thevenin Equivalent.
