Paste Objects In Place in the Layout Editor

Sometimes it is convenient to copy an object and paste it without an X,Y offset or displacement. For instance, when creating copies of parameterized objects, or when copying an object to the same location but in a different layer.

1. Select the object(s) to be duplicated.
2. Choose Copy on the right-click menu or on the Edit drop-down menu.
3. Select the layer you want to draw upon on the ActiveLayer drop-down menu on the Layout toolbar.
4. Choose Paste in Place on the shortcut menu or on the Edit drop-down menu and the object is pasted onto the active layer using the same X,Y coordinates from which it was copied.
