Layout Links

Utilizing Layout Links take advantage of a closer integration between the 3D Layout and external data sources. Layout Links permits HFSS to host source-specific translation features and allows for plug-ins that behave as “quasi-native” primitives that also use external data semantics. Ensure APDLinks is activated by completing these steps.

1. Select Tools > Layout Links
2. Click the Config tab
3. If appropriate, click AddLink , then select <installdir>/apdlinks.dll to activate APDLinks.

• Activation of a Link is only required once. On subsequent Ansys Desktop sessions, the link remains available and activate. Once a link is loaded, it is listed in the AvailableLinks column of the Layout Links tab.
• The Cadence APD/Allegro Link provides Action for Server configuration, Options setup, and Bondwire management.
