Computing the Z-Matrix

The impedance matrix, Z, is calculated on the S-matrix as follows:

where:

• S is the nxn generalized S-matrix.
• I is an nxn identity matrix.
• Z₀ is a diagonal matrix having the characteristic impedance (Z₀) of each port as a diagonal value.
