Coupling HFSS 3D Layout AC and DC Loss

In HFSS 3D Layout, you can add a solution setup to solve for alternating current (AC) and direct current (DC) loss (see SIwave Solution Setup for HFSS 3D Layout). In an Icepak design, you can link a PCB component to the HFSS 3D Layout solution setup to include the loss data in the Icepak simulation.

The losses applied to the PCB component are shown in the Solutions dialog box. For one-way coupling only, if the design includes multiple instances of the PCB component, the losses are applied to each instance.
