Introduction

Use this guide when you want to perform Ansys simulations in the cloud.

When you sign in to Ansys Gateway powered by AWS, you can see the project spaces to which you have been granted access. For a quick tour of Ansys Gateway powered by AWS, see Ansys Gateway powered by AWS Environment in the Getting Started guide.

Ansys Gateway powered by AWS enables you to:

• Launch a virtual desktop

• Submit jobs to a cloud-based HPC cluster

• Launch a cloud terminal (SSH) for command line use

• Run a service such as DCS for Design Points

Instead of software and data being stored on local PCs and servers, everything runs from cloud servers that are hosted at a cloud data center. Files from your cloud project space can be easily synced back to your local device as needed.
