Running Ansys CFX

For HPC cluster setups created in project spaces that support Ansys 2024 R1 or earlier releases

You can run CFX solve jobs in a Fluids Slurm cluster setup in the following ways:

Run small CFX jobs on the Slurm Controller machine
Run the CFX Solver Manager interactively with Slurm and use cluster nodes
Run CFX with Slurm in batch mode using the command line

Note: To run a larger case on a large number of nodes with AMD processors, you should submit the job using a Slurm script that includes the following argument: export I_MPI_OFI_PROVIDER=psm3. Otherwise, the solution may hang.

This argument cannot be specified using the command line or Solver Manager. It does not work for Intel nodes.
