LS-DYNA HPC Cluster with EFA (2024 R1 or Earlier)

The LS-DYNA Slurm Cluster with EFA utilizes Amazon Elastic Fabric Adapter (EFA), which enhances performance of inter-instance communication for lower latency and higher throughput.

HPC clusters can be created in project spaces that support Ansys 2024 R1 and earlier releases.

Note: LS-DYNA EFA clusters have been tested up to 32 nodes and 1152 cores.

Steps:

Step 1: Create a Virtual Machine with Shared NFS Storage
Step 2: Create a Virtual Desktop with Slurm Controller
Step 3: Create an LS-DYNA EFA Cluster
Step 4: Connect to the Controller and Launch a Job
