Removing an Availability Zone

Administrators can remove availability zones that have been added to the Availability zones page. This also removes zones from the Availability zone drop-down in project space and resource creation wizards, making them unavailable for provisioning hardware.

To remove an availability zone from the availability list:

  1. On the main toolbar, click to display the Administration menu.

  2. In the navigation pane, select Availability zones.

  3. On the Availability zones page, locate the availability zone to remove.

  4. In the zone's Actions column, click Remove. You are prompted to confirm your choice.

    Note: If the availability zone is being used by any project spaces, the affected project spaces are listed with a warning in the Remove availability zone dialog. When the availability zone is deleted, any resources associated with the availability zone will be deleted from the project spaces listed.
  5. In the confirmation dialog, click Delete. The availability zone is removed from the list.
