Automatic Mounting of Shared Folders
For shared folders created on file storage servers in project spaces that support 2024 R1 and earlier Ansys releases
By default, when a file storage server is in the Running state, its shared folders are
automatically mounted onto virtual machines (VMs) as follows:
| Storage type | Linux VMs | Windows VMs |
|---|---|---|
| NFS storage | Mounted to the /mnt directory | Mounted as a network drive |
| SMB storage | Mounted as a network drive |
When users connect to a virtual desktop, they can access the mounted share to retrieve or capture data.
