Amazon FSx for OpenZFS
Amazon FSx for OpenZFS is a high-performance shared file system that is well suited for latency-sensitive HPC workloads where speed and storage efficiency are a priority.
When this storage type is mounted on an autoscaling cluster, it is also mounted on both Windows and Linux virtual desktops in the same project space.
Amazon FSx for OpenZFS offers:
Latencies as low as a few hundred microseconds
1-2 million IOPS (input/output operations per second)
High level of throughput of as much as 10-21 gigabytes per second
Advanced data management capabilities such as data deduplication and compression, making more efficient use of the storage
Automatic file system backups for disaster recovery
Pay-as-you-go model where you pay only for the storage that you use
Best uses cases for Amazon FSx for OpenZFS:
Workloads that need to store and process massive amounts of data
Workloads that rely on compute nodes having fast access to the same data via high-performance shared storage (low latency between nodes, high number of input/output operations, high throughput)
