Introduction

Use this guide when you want to perform Ansys simulations in the cloud.

When you sign in to Ansys Access on Microsoft Azure, you can see the project spaces to which you have been granted access. For a quick tour of Ansys Access on Microsoft Azure, see Ansys Access on Microsoft Azure Environment in the Getting Started guide.

Ansys Access on Microsoft Azure enables you to:

• Launch a virtual desktop

• Submit jobs to an autoscaling cluster

• Launch a cloud terminal (SSH) for command line use

Instead of software and data being stored on local PCs and servers, everything runs from cloud servers that are hosted at a cloud data center. Files from your cloud project space can be easily synced back to your local device as needed.
