2.2. FTA Improvements

Import FTA Models from other Projects

This was introduced as a beta feature in a previous version and is now a full-fledged feature. You can import an FTA model into one medini analyze project from another. This allows large system fault trees created across multiple projects to be integrated consistently at the system level.

A wizard takes you through the process and includes the option to import FTAs referenced with transfer gates. When updating an imported FTA model from its source, you can restore deleted and modified elements and keep any elements you added.

Cut Set Improvements

With this release, you can limit the number of evaluated cut sets appearing in the table, which can be useful when working with huge fault trees. Evaluated cut sets can be exported to a CSV file for post-processing. In the error log, find statistics about how many cut sets exist, grouped by cut set order. You can also clear the option to generate cut sets and focus only on quantitative results.
