Note: the tool comes with no built-in guide word template (but samples are provided separately). |
| HAZOP Templates | The HAZOP analysis is heavily based on guide words. To support different
purposes for doing HAZOP or sources for guide words, the tool features so called
HAZOP templates, in principle lists of guide words and accompanying information as
description or meaning. ![]() HAZOP templates are configured in the projects settings similar to other templates like checklists and situation catalog. Importing guide words from Excel is supported as well, and a standard example project with guide words from IEC 61882 and SAE J2980 is available in the download location for a quick start. |
| HAZOP Analysis | New HAZOP Analysis models can be created in almost any package of the project.
To analyze system elements as functions or activities simply drag them to the HAZOP
table editor or create new rows and select the element under consideration. Dragging
system model roots or packages is supported as well.![]() To derive new failures for a system element, just enter some text in an empty cell of a guide word rows. Dragging existing malfunctions to another guide word cells is possible too. |
