Fault Tree+ Integration

While the import from FaultTree+ (via Excel) has been there as an experimental feature for a long time, we now officially support import and export of fault trees to Reliability WorkbenchTM (RWB) from Isograph. The interface is based on the FaultTree+ XML format that can be generated and consumed by RWB.

Block ports in FMEDA

The FMEDA/DC Worksheet was not supporting ports of blocks when the worksheet was derived from a SysML block directly. This restriction has been resolved and ports of blocks are now included in the worksheet, unless you select the "Hide ports" option. In case this is true in your projects, make sure to update your FMEDA when migrating to this version! The automatic migration will additionally provide an indication in case you are affected.

ISO 26262 Part 11 Failure Rate Template

ISO 26262:2018, part 11 provides some adaptations of IEC 62380 for failure rates of chips with multiple different technologies. These recommended calculations on how to combine failure rates are available as a special catalog that can be merged into your projects from our Semiconductor_Part11 template available on our download location.

New perspectives

Two new perspectives have been added to better focus on information in projects: Safety and Cybersecurity. When a perspective is selected, menus or property views will adapt and filter for appropriate information that can be seen and that is accessible. For example, the SysML property tab will show failure modes/malfunctions only in the Safety perspective, while Vulnerabilities are visible only in the Cybersecurity perspective. If unsure, you can still use the previously existing Analysis perspective to see the full content.

New landing page and example templates

The tool installation comes now with pre-installed sample templates and an improved landing page. These templates can serve as basis to build your company specific templates, for example to manage hardware component libraries. As before, more examples can be found on our web download location.

Usability improvements

There are many smaller usability improvements included in 2020 R1, which should ease your daily work with the tool. Most noteworthy ones can be seen here:
