12.4. SysML Modeling

Initial SysML v2 Support

SysMLv2 Structural Modeling provides the first set of modeling features for the upcoming major revision of the standard. Since the standardization is still ongoing, the 2022 R1 release provides a conservative set of stable concepts for the structural modeling, including part and port definitions, redefines and subset relations, and many more. The modeling can be optionally turned on and transition from your SysML1.x models is seamless.

Extended modeling

For the current SysML 1.x modeling we have increased the supported concepts so that packages can now be modelled graphically, blocks can be augmented with value properties, and value types can be defined.

Diagram Usability

The usability of the modeling component features now by default a better layout, snap to shapes, and especially a better selection handling.
