Connection Assessment Tool Guides

The following tool guides are available for Connection Assessment:


Select body	Narrow the selection of connections shown to show only connections on the selected body.
Select secondary body	Narrow the selection of connections shown even further to only the connections between this secondary body and the primary body.
Select face	Narrow the selection of connections shown to show only connections on the selected face.
Select secondary face	Narrow the selection of connections shown even further to only the connections between this secondary face and the primary face.
Show only bolt connections	Filter to show only the bolt connections.
Show only contact connections	Filter to show only the contact connections.
Show only failed connections	Filter to show only the connections that failed.

The following tool options are available for Connection Assessment:

Note: The Discovery application displays whether the currently selected connection Passed, Failed, or was Borderline and the Critical FOS value.


Shear FOS	Displays the Shear factor of safety values for the selected connection.
Tensile FOS	Displays the Tensile factor of safety values for the selected connection.
Automatic zoom	Automatically zooms to the connection currently shown.
Show all	Shows all connections available for assessment.
