Viewing Mesh Metrics for the Simulation

Default mesh metrics can be set in the in the Physics Settings, but you can also specify the mesh metrics and their limits for this particular simulation under Simulation Options on the Simulation tab. Click Fluid Mesh Quality or Structural Mesh Quality to see the options in the expanded panel. After meshing, you are notified if any selected meshing criteria are not met.

Then, after simulation, you can view mesh plots that highlight poor quality elements.

Note: Mesh metrics are only available in Refine.
  1. Select the mesh metric you want to view from the Resolution → Structural/Fluid options dropdown list in the Fidelity group of the Simulation tab.
  2. Click Resolution to view.
