Subscriptions Overview
- cloud plan,
- additional users,
- add-on products,
- credits,
- storage.
The cloud plan is the mandatory basis of all subscriptions. It provides named user access to Ansys Portal functionality, monthly credits, storage allocation and access to some products. For example, a Corporate Plan provides access for 10 named users, 500 monthly credits and 1TB of storage. Every organization requires one (and only one) cloud plan.
Additional users can be added to the cloud plan to increase the number of users who can access products. Additional users are purchased in quantities of one.
Credits are consumed whenever a product runs a simulation process. For example, running a simulation in Ansys ConceptEV, or submitting a Burst Compute job from Ansys Discovery. The credit consumption rate depends on several factors, including the complexity of your simulation, the size of the model, and the product being used. Depending on workflows and usages, credits provided with your cloud plan may be sufficient, or it may be necessary to augment your subscription by purchasing additional monthly credits. For more details on managing credits, refer to the Credits and Credit Management section.
Storage is used to store any data which is generated, for example by uploading a file or by running a simulation. Similarly to additional credits, it is possible to purchase additional storage to augment that provided with your cloud plan. Storage is provided in a single pool available to all users and can be managed with Ansys Admin.
Your monthly subscription period will align with the start date of your subscription and may not coincide with the beginning of any calendar month. The monthly subscription refresh date will be displayed in the Subscription tab in Ansys Admin. To make any changes to your subscription such as adding more products, contact your sales representative.
