Designating Infinite Ground Planes

To simulate the effects of an infinite ground plane in an HFSS design:

This selection only affects the calculation of near- and far-field radiation during post processing. Ansys Electronics Desktop models the boundary as a finite portion of an infinite, perfectly conducting plane. If the infinite ground plane does not touch a radiation boundary, you will receive a warning. A finite sheet, which does not touch the radiation boundary condition cannot be an infinite ground plane.
